Simone & James - Nielsen Park, Vaucluse Sydney
Cyclone Debbie had been wreaking havoc and influencing weather up and down the coast all week - it poured on Thursday, I got drenched on Friday on my location scout, and Sunday was miserable but the first of April was absolutely stunning.
Simone and James had booked the INXS suite at the Ovolo Hotel, Wooloomooloo which was an absolute dream to photograph.
I couldn't stop shooting Simone's exquisitely designed and crafted dress by Toni Maticevski or her jewels which were designed and made by one of her (incredible) girlfriends - Birkbecks Jewellers
Enter the father of the bride (and that amazing expression, when he sees his little girl)
The wedding ceremony was held in the gorgeous Nielsen Park Kiosk (side note, its totally not the beach shack that one thinks of when hearing kiosk!) and incorporated an incredible green arch to serve as a symbolic huppah.
I photographed the boys amongst the fig trees of Nielsen Park, overlooking the gorgeous Sydney harbour.
The bride arrived in a super stylish Tesla with her father and bridesmaid
a favourite moment when the groom tries to get a glimpse of his future bride
The ceremony told stories of how a boy and girl met and fell in love and became a family. Laughter filled the room with vows similar to Dr Seuss rhymes, a surprise confetti canon and traditional glass breaking.
The bride and groom had chosen a later hour for the ceremony, meaning that as they exited the Nielsen Park Kiosk in glorious light.
Nielsen park has a variety of fascinating textures and backgrounds..
